San Shan Bridge by Penda Designs
Designed by Penda for the 2022 Beijing Winter Games, the bridge's design takes inspiration from Olympics Rings. The infrastructure will span 452 meters long and connect Beijing with Zhangjiakou: where many of the outdoor events will take place.
The bridge consists of steel structures which, seeming like circles, will intersect above and below the road. Steel cables are used to suspend the road and create a woven pattern as the structure encircle the bridge.
